At Van der Does Spice Brokers food safety is of paramount importance. A food safety culture in our company and in our supply chain is our top priority. One of the key criteria on selecting new partners is if and how the senior management embraces food safety.

A food safety culture in a company should be based on behaviour-based approached, rather than on system-based steps. In other words a food safety culture is a way of life.

Next to a mindset of course processes can and should be in place to enhance food safety. A decent HACCP and food safety plan, including the activities to implement it should be set-up. Next to these basics we expect from our partners to have set-up professional food defense and food fraud prevention plans.
